List of U.S. cities by number of professional sports championships : ウィキペディア英語版 | List of U.S. cities by number of professional sports championships This is a list of cities in the United States that field or have fielded teams in North America men's professional sports leagues, showing the number of league championships each city has won. The "five major leagues" comprise Major League Baseball, the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Soccer and the National Hockey League. These numbers are for cities and metropolitan areas, not individual franchises: where a team has moved to a new city, the number of championships in the old city remains the same. For example, the Nationals' NBA championship is counted in Syracuse, where it was won, while the team itself later moved to Philadelphia and became the 76ers. ==Table==
Note: Includes all NFL champions from 1920 through 1965, and all (separate) AAFC champions from 1946 to 1949, and all (separate) AFL champions from 1960 to 1965. From 1966 through present, the lone football champion is that season's Super Bowl winner.
